The MKE 600 is the ideal video camera/camcorder microphone able to handle even demanding filmic challenges. Due to its high directivity, the MKE 600 picks up sounds coming from the direction in which the camera is pointing and effectively attenuates noise coming from the sides and rear. The switchable “Low Cut” filter additionally minimizes wind noise.

Because some video cameras/camcorders do not provide phantom power, the MKE 600 can also be battery powered. A battery on/off switch prevents the battery from discharging prematurely; “Low Batt” is displayed.

Emily N. ★★★★★

Picked this up for indoor interviews and the low cut filter made a huge difference in killing the AC hum. Battery life has been solid too, and the low batt indicator saved me from missing a take.

Sebastian K. ★★★★★

Used this on a windy rooftop shoot and the low cut filter saved me — barely any rumble in the final audio. The battery indicator is a small thing but it kept me from getting caught with a dead mic mid-interview. Tossed it in my bag without a case for months and it still works flawlessly.

Natalie S. ★★★★★

The low-cut filter saved my audio when recording near a busy road, and the side rejection really does block out chatter from the side. Build feels solid enough to take a knock.
